3. Open your cupboards.

The most common problems may be caused by the external installations of your home, but this does not mean that you should forget about the internal ones. Like outdoor plumbing, indoor plumbing can freeze in the cold. An easy solution for heating the internal pipes is to open your cabinets. This will help transfer heat from the indoor environment of the house to the pipes, keeping them warmer. In case of a big drop in temperature, don’t forget to leave some cupboards open! This way you will avoid unexpected breaks and all the troubles they cause.
